Designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. After taking this course, students should talk with their employer about their workplaces specific policies and procedures. Those who complete the training receive a Bloodborne Pathogens Training certification valid for one year. The 2021 Bloodborne Pathogens online course is designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. Allow approximately 60 minutes to complete the course.
*First Aid for Opioid Overdoses

The First Aid for Opioid Overdoses Online course will provide you with the knowledge and confidence you need to respond to a suspected opioid overdose emergency. You will learn to identify the signs and symptoms of a suspected opioid overdose and then the appropriate care to provide based on the responsiveness of the person. This course includes information on how to use several different naloxone products -- a nasal atomizer, Narcan and EVZIO -- to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. This interactive course includes audio and video and takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. You must pass a final quiz to complete the course.

*Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector - Online Course

This online course will teach you the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis and how to care for a person having a severe allergic reaction, including how to administer epinephrine using an auto-injector device. The course, which includes video, activities that reinforce key information and a learning assessment, will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

First Aid for Severe Trauma (FAST) Online provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to respond to an emergency involving life-threatening bleeding, including how to recognize a life-threatening bleeding emergency, ensure safety and communicate effectively in an emergency, control life-threatening bleeding using direct pressure, a tourniquet, or both. The course is designed to enhance participants ability to take decisive, lifesaving action to assist a person with a traumatic injury and life-threatening bleeding until professional responders arrive. This course is not a certification course and only results in a completion certificate. Please check with your state or workplace on whether this meets requirements for any high school graduation or workplace training requirements for bleeding control education. Responsive design allows for a user-friendly experience on desktop, tablets, and mobile devices. Allow approximately 2 hours to complete the course. This course does not work on Safari browsers.

The First Aid for Severe Bleeding Online course will prepare you to recognize severe, life-threatening bleeding emergencies and to take action to stop the flow of blood. You will learn how and when to control bleeding by applying a tourniquet and hemostatic dressing. This interactive course includes audio and video and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. You must pass a final quiz to complete the course.

*Cat and Dog First Aid Online

You love your pets, and want to give them the best life possible; being equipped to deliver first aid and provide a healthy lifestyle for your pet is the best way to do that. In this course, you will learn the basics of providing first aid care for your cat or dog, and will learn how to best give care for common emergency situations. This 35 minute online course covers understanding your pet's vital signs, breathing and cardiac emergencies, wounds and bleeding, seizures, and preventative care for cats and dogs. This course is desktop and tablet compatible.
*First Aid, Health and Safety for Coaches - Online Course

This course, developed by the American Red Cross and the National Federation of State High School Associations, gives students an overview of first aid and "best practices" for many first aid situations encountered by coaches. Students learn skills related to athletic injuries that may also be useful for injuries to officials, fellow coaches or spectators. Topics include: Checking an Unconscious Athlete; Asthma; Sudden Illness; Heat Related Illnesses; Wounds; Injuries to the Head, Neck and Spine; Psychological and Mental Health Problems. Students who score at least 80% on the course assessment may print a record of completion. Because CPR and AED require separate training for certification, these topics are not part of this course. Students are encouraged to register for the American Red Cross CPR/AED course as a complement to this course.
*Until Help Arrives

This is an abbreviated 95 minute, non-certification course that provides basic information from emergency physicians and medical experts on the essential steps to take if faced with a life-threatening emergency. These actions can help sustain - or even save - a life until professional responders arrive. A certificate of completion will be issued upon completion of the course.
*Babysitting Basics-online

Designed primarily for youth ages 11 and older, this online course will prepare students to be better babysitters. Topics include how to provide care for infants and children; how to stay safe; what to do in an emergency; how to choose age-appropriate activities; and how to recognize and handle a variety of behaviors. Students will also learn the basics of starting a babysitting business. The course consists of six interactive modules featuring video, activities, games and tools babysitters can use to build their knowledge and skills and manage their babysitting business. This course, which includes a final exam at the end, takes about 4 hours to complete. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a printable certificate.
*Advanced Child Care Training

"The American Red Cross Advanced Child Care Training Online course teaches the knowledge and skills necessary to responsibly care for children and infants in and outside of the home. This includes training in leadership, child behavior and discipline, professionalism, safety, basic childcare (bottle feeding, holding, etc.). Learners will be engaged in virtual environments in which world-class animated characters respond specifically to choices made. Throughout, learning is supported through additional activities and informative videos. Note: This program is not intended as certification for state licensed child-care providers and does not meet all state requirements for such certification."
*Lifeguard Management - Online Course

The Lifeguard Management course is designed to prepare aquatic professionals to effectively manage lifeguards and help keep patrons, staff and facilities safe. This highly interactive, 3.5-hour course is completely online and includes video lessons, scenario-based activities and a final exam. There are no prerequisites for this course. The person may or may not have a lifeguarding background, and may manage seasonal or year-round operations. Successful participants receive a certificate that is valid for2years.

The Water Safety for Parents and Caregivers Online Course focuses on developing an awareness of the risks of drowning and how to minimize those risks, especially for young children. This online course teaches parents and caregivers about the concepts of the circle of drowning prevention, water competency and the chain of drowning survival. It also provides guidance for applying water safety to common environments and situations where children are most at risk for drowning.
